This poster design was inspired by the Plakatstil or German object posters of the early 1900s. Artists like Lucian Bernhard and Hans Rudi Erdt greatly influenced the creation of this poster. To achieve a similar style as that of the Plakatstil posters, the use of bold lettering and flat color were employed. The soda can was painted by hand to create a unique focal point.
